In the third night of the Control 17 Year Anniversary, Years of Denial, Phase Fatale, and nd_baumecker joins the celebration among yet to be announced artists. The full lineup will be soon revealed, but we believe this is just on point to make you drop everything and secure your tickets.
YEARS OF DENIAL [FR/CZ] [LIVE]
Taking the stage in the early hours of the night, this is the project of French musician Jerome Tcherneyan, in former times drummer of cult British band Piano Magic and music producer since 1997, and Czech performance & music artist, lyricist, and singer-songwriter Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016, the duo has become known across the globe for their well-crafted sharp productions and electrifying live performances.
Utilizing hardware and a plethora of dub devices combined with Barkosina’s unmistakable vocals, the pair revisit the dark corners of post-punk, goth, new beat, EBM, industrial, and rave culture.
Their live shows inject rhythmic beats and pulsating arpeggios with heavy electronics fused with a spacey psychedelic sonic treatment. The duo operates on the dance floor with a powerful performative representation creating an excursive, unforgettable experience.
PHASE FATALE [USA/DE]
Hayden Payne operates with precision drawing in hypnotic rhythms that feel both ancient and ripped right from the future. The US-born, Berlin-based producer weaves gnarly basslines and creates truly powerful sonic experiences. His sound draws from post-punk DNA while maintaining pure dancefloor devotion, evident across three albums including 'Scanning Backwards' on Ostgut Ton.
Payne's residencies at legendary venues like Berghain and KHIDI showcase his ability to read rooms and mull energies. Through his BITE label, he’s been proving that techno's most compelling stories emerge from those who understand both its underground origins and evolutionary potential.
ND_BAUMECKER [DE]
Andreas Baumecker weaves together disco, house, techno, and electro with the precision of a seasoned craftsman who's been reading dance floors since 1991 — which is exactly what he is.
Starting in Frankfurt's underground scene before landing at Berlin's Berghain as both resident DJ and booker, he treats each set as an experimental playground where brute force meets tender moments. His approach centers on surprise and flow, connecting disparate sounds through an intuitive understanding of music’s universal language.
